The Ioniq moniker is designed as a sub-brand of Hyundai, and also applies to a flood of upcoming EV models.


Performance, power:

The Hyundai Ioniq 5. has an 800-volt engine that allows for impressive charging speeds, and we estimate the driving range would be 258 to 290 miles. Available with rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive, the EV ute generates between 215 and 302 horsepower.

Inside the IONIQ 5, you notice a whole new in-car experience. Offers a large flat floor, fully reclining highly adjustable front seats, and a flexible center console that can be moved around the cabin.

Hyundai Ioniq 5's interior features a technology-focused dashboard. There is a large selection of tools that provide convenience.

12 inch full touch infotainment screen.

The 12-inch digital instrument cluster displays information related to electric vehicles while driving, such as battery health and nearby charging stations.

The Ioniq 5 marks the emergence of Hyundai's all-new, all-electric sub-brand Ioniq, which the company says will enter 23 battery-powered vehicles by 2025.

Hyundai has not hinted at the cost of the upcoming Ioniq 5, but has said it will launch in the fall of 2021. Since the current Hyundai Kona Electric starts at around $ 38,000, we estimate that the Ioniq 5 will open at around $ 45,000.



Engine, transmission and performance

The 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 has an electric-only powertrain available in two capacities. The rear-engine configuration delivers 215 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The four-wheel drive version is more powerful, at 315 hp and 446 lb., and is faster, too.
