2021 Hyundai Sonata N Line Exciting Sedan

Hyundai unwrapped its newest N Line product today, revealing a Sonata that’s not as “high performance” as the brand’s N models, but still plenty sporty for a four-door car

2021 Hyundai Sonata N Line

Sonata N Line wears its badge on its sleeve and its sides, taking cues from Hyundai’s ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ design ID for a front-end look that includes the now-typical cascading grille, mildly remodelled front fascia, and triple air intakes

It’s got a new pair of 19-inch alloy sneakers on below the N Line side skirts, too, and a back end highlighted by a lower bumper and dual twin exhausts on either side of the N Line rear diffuser. Inside, changes are limited to some dark chrome trim, sport seats and red stitching on the steering wheel

Perhaps most importantly, the first N Line Sonata will also carry a new powerplant. Its 2.5-liter turbo’d inline-four engine makes 290 horsepower and 311 lb.-ft. of torque, and is connected to a dual-clutch 8-speed automatic transmission driving the front wheels. That’s a bump of about 100 horsepower over the old standard 2.5-litre

And the sedan won’t be getting a full-fledged N model, so this N-Line is the sportiest Sonata you’ll see. From the sounds of it, it should be plenty
